Title: NDDC 2025/2026 Foreign Postgraduate (Master’s Degree) Scholarship
The NDDC is committed to enhancing human resource development in the Niger Delta through this scholarship program. It aims to equip young professionals with advanced skills to contribute effectively to the Federal Government’s local content initiative and compete globally in various fields.
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must hold relevant bachelor’s degrees in one of the following professional disciplines:
- Agricultural Science
- Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Geosciences
- Information Technology
- Medical Sciences
- Law
- Architecture
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Must be an indigenes of the Niger Delta Region
- Must hold a First Class, Second Class Upper, or Lower Division Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
- Must be 40 years old or younger
- Must Posses an admission letter for a postgraduate program from a recognized foreign university
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship amount will be determined based on the prevailing exchange rate of the Naira and will cover tuition and other associated expenses.

Application Process
How to Apply
Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online via the NDDCScholarship Portal.
Required Documents
Applicants must upload the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Postgraduate admission letter from a recognized foreign university
- Bachelor’s degree certificate from a recognized university
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
Upon successful submission, applicants will receive a registration number and are advised to print a copy of their acknowledgment slip for reference.
Selection Process
- Preliminary Shortlisting – Candidates will be selected based on their WASSCE/NECO results, Local Government Identification, and undergraduate degree classification.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Shortlisted applicants will undergo a CBT in Rivers State.
- Final Selection – The list of successful candidates will be published on the NDDC website.
Important Notes
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the CBT and oral interview.
- Preference will be given to candidates from oil-producing host communities and local government areas, provided they meet the required cut-off marks.
- Course deferment, change of institution, or change of course is not allowed.
- The NDDC’s selection decision is final and is based on merit and internal considerations.
