NNPC/OANDO Scholarship 2026/27 Details
The NNPC/OANDO Scholarship is a Joint Venture University Scholarship and an initiative of two oil and gas companies in pursuance of their Social Investment programme in Education.
The NEPL/OERNL JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme (hosted jointly by the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission E&P Limited (NEPL) and the Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited (OERNL) aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the employability of young Nigerian university students.
NNPC/OANDO Scholarship 2026 is categorized into two;
- First is the National Merit Award (NMA),
- and the other is the Areas of Operation award.
The National Merit Award is open to all Nigerian university students while the Areas of Operation award is open to students who are indigenes of the areas where the companies operate.
NNPC OANDO Scholarship Requirements
The requirements candidates must satisfy to be eligible for the NNPC/OANDO Scholarship are as follows;
- NATIONAL MERIT AWARD (NM)
Open to all Nigerians.
- AREAS OF OPERATION MERIT AWARD
Open Nigerians who are indigenes of Beyelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.
The following criteria for eligibility are the general requirements for all candidates;
- Must be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Must be registered FULL TIME undergraduates in an accredited and approved University in Nigeria
- Must be in 100 Level or possess proof of admission into Undergraduate programme in the current academic session.
- Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity operating in the Oil and Gas Industry, National or International
