Purpose of the Seed Grants
The seed grants are intended to support women-led organizations in designing and implementing innovative initiatives that contribute directly to the goals of the WomenPower2030 programme.
Rather than supporting standalone awareness campaigns, the programme prioritizes projects capable of influencing policy, demonstrating sustainable solutions, and promoting gender-responsive governance.
Priority Areas for Funding
Applicants may propose initiatives covering one or more of the following thematic areas:
- Policy monitoring and dialogue with decision-makers
- Educational and awareness activities on gender equality and sustainable development
- Movement building and feminist organizing
- Demonstration of equitable and sustainable community solutions
- Women’s leadership development and gender-focused training
- Monitoring climate policies, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and public budgets
- Strategic social media campaigns and mainstream media engagement
WEP notes that projects focused solely on workshops or awareness-raising activities will not receive priority consideration.
Instead, preference will be given to initiatives that:
- Influence public policy in favour of women
