Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 RUFORUM–Mastercard Foundation TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship Programme. This initiative is implemented by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation.
The programme is open to both male and female applicants. However, priority consideration will be given to female candidates, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and individuals living with disabilities.
Eligible candidates can apply through any of the participating partner universities listed under the programme:

Selection Criteria
- Be a national of African countries
- Be economically disadvantaged, from marginalized communities, and/or coming from conflict and post-conflict areas
- Be less than 30 years for undergraduate and less than 35 years for masters’ studies at the time of this call.
- The applicant should meet admission criteria to be eligible for a programme at the University.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Have a strong commitment to community transformation.

Scholarship Worth
- This is a full board comprehensive scholarship that covers: tuition fees, research costs, workshop
and conference costs, living expenses including stipend and hostel, laptop, internship attachment, community engagement and field attachment, and entrepreneurship training.
