The Ogoni Entrepreneurship Summit (OES) is thrilled to announce the selected candidates for the next phase of the ₦200 Million OES Grant Scheme, a pivotal moment in supporting the dreams of entrepreneurs in Ogoniland. This initiative, made possible by the generous sponsorship of Chief Lesi Maol, aims to foster business growth, encourage innovation, and promote sustainable economic development in the region.
After the application portal closed on January 9, 2026, the OES Screening Committee received an impressive 500 applications from both aspiring and established entrepreneurs. This overwhelming response underscores the enthusiasm for the OES Grant Scheme and the confidence applicants have in the program’s integrity.
Each application underwent a thorough evaluation process using a structured and transparent scoring system, with a focus on the responses provided in the multiple-choice section of the form. Every submission was carefully reviewed against a set benchmark to ensure fairness and impartiality in the selection process.

111 Applicants Shortlisted for Stage One Screening
Following the evaluation process, 111 applicants met the required cut-off score and have been shortlisted to proceed to the next phase of the OES Grant selection process. The list of successful candidates has been published in a document titled “OES Grant Stage One Shortlisted Applicants.”
The OES Committee has clarified that being shortlisted at this stage does not automatically guarantee final selection, as further verification and assessments will be conducted in subsequent phases.
Mandatory Training Session for Shortlisted Candidates
The next phase of the OES Grant Scheme will begin with a mandatory training session, which all shortlisted applicants are required to attend.
Training Details:
Date: Saturday, 14th February 2026
Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: To be communicated on or before Wednesday, 11th February 2026.
Attendance at this training is compulsory and will also serve as an opportunity for verification of shortlisted candidates.
Verification Requirements for Shortlisted Applicants
During the training session, shortlisted candidates will be verified to confirm:
- Proof of Ogoni origin
- Attendance at the OES Summit 2025
Applicants are required to attend wearing their OES T-shirt and must come with:
- A valid ID card (Voter’s Card, Driver’s Licence, or International Passport).
- A Local Government Identification Letter.
Applicants who attended the Summit but did not receive an OES T-shirt are still eligible, as verification will be conducted using the official Summit attendance register. This provision also applies to approved virtual attendees.
Physical Screening for Non-Shortlisted Applicants
Applicants who were not included among the initial 111 shortlisted candidates-439 applicants in total-have been placed on a separate list titled “OES Grant Applicants for Further Screening.”
These applicants are invited to participate in a physical screening exercise, which presents another opportunity to be considered for the grant programme.
Screening Dates:
- Tuesday, 10 February – Thursday, 12 February 2026.
Applicants are advised to check OES social media platforms for their specific screening date and time.
Screening Venue and Directions
Venue: Giolee Global Resources Corporate Headquarter Near Army Range/C4i Checkpoint, Eneka, Port Harcourt.
For easy access, applicants may board a tricycle (keke) from the Eneka Flyover – Igwuruta loading point and inform the driver they are stopping at Giolee or White House.
Applicants are encouraged to attend the screening in their OES T-shirt and come along with a valid ID card and Local Government Identification Letter.
