The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is located in the ancient city of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, Nigeria, approximately 500 kilometres from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
Strategically positioned at the geographical and cultural confluence of Nigeria’s North and South, Ilorin serves as an important centre of education, culture, and commerce.
The University of Ilorin was one of seven institutions of higher learning established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in August 1975. Its establishment was part of the implementation of the educational directives contained in the country’s Third National Development Plan.
The University was established to expand access to university education for Nigerians and to produce the high-level manpower required to support the nation’s rapidly developing economy.
Today, the University of Ilorin continues to contribute significantly to teaching, research, innovation, and national development.

Requirements
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant master’s degree (e.g., in Finance, Economics,or Management) is highly preferred and often require
- Typically 10 to 15+ years of progressive management experience, with at least 5 executive level (e.g., as a CEO, COO, MD)
- Industry Expertise: Deep, demonstrable experience and understanding of the specific industry the company operates in (e.g., FinTech, Manufacturing, Healthcare
- P&L Management: A proven track record of managi ng Profit and Loss (P&L), driving revenue growth, and optimizing operational cos
