2026 NNPC/Renaissance JV Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship

The Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, operator of the NNPC Limited/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, is pleased to announce the 17th Annual NNPC/Renaissance JV Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship Programme for qualified applicants from Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.

About the Scholarship Programme

The scholarship is designed to provide exceptional postgraduate study opportunities to eligible candidates from the Niger Delta region. It supports advanced education in courses and disciplines relevant to the oil and gas industry, helping to develop skilled professionals who can contribute to Nigeria’s energy sector and national development.

Eligible applicants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to further their academic and professional growth through overseas postgraduate studies.

Requirements:

  • Display intellectual ability and leadership potential.
  • Have an adequate standard of English (at least 6.5 IELTS) and meet the university’s language requirements.
  • Have been offered admission to one of the eligible courses.
  • Hold (or expect to hold before commencement) a Second Class Upper Honours degree.
  • Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme by September 2026.
  • Be an indigene of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, or Rivers State.
  • Not have previously studied in the UK or another developed country.
  • Be aged 21–28 years by 30 September 2026.
  • Hold a Nigerian international passport valid until December 2027.

Method of Application

  • Submit an application for admission to one of the participating universities.
  • Scholarship application forms become available through the university after admission.
  • Universities shortlist applicants and conduct interviews before final selection.
  • Successful applicants are notified by 31 July 2026.

Scholarship covers:

  • Tuition fees
  • Economy-class return flight
  • UK visa contribution
  • Living expenses

Please note:

  • Employees of Renaissance, its affiliates, or their immediate family members are not eligible.
  • Applicants must meet admission requirements of the universities.
  • Living expenses are based on the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) rates.
  • The scholarship is non-commercial and cannot be transferred.
  • Renaissance provides medical insurance in line with UK Student Visa requirements.
