Position Summary

- Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking to fill the role of Warehouse Supervisor, whose responsibility would be to drive warehouse team performance to attain superior service level at a lower cost.
A day in the life of a Warehouse Supervisor
- Set adequate target values for warehousing service and cost KPIs, and keep tracked KPIs close to the target values by:
- Supporting Logistics service and productivity levels.
- Ensuring key performance measures are maintained.
- Focusing on problem solving skills.
- Managing labor and equipment utilization.
- Ensuring the premises are hygienic and sustainable.
- Creating safety awareness and compliance.
- Drive / Support cost saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of the warehouse operation.
- Influence Distribution Management and Customer Service in order to continuously improve service and cost through:
- Regular communication that will keep customers and CS updated to manage proactively.
- Collaboration with Customer Service, Production and Transport to ensure customer service level, freshness and avoidance of bad goods.
- Oversees co-packing activities.
- Motivates 5S, and nurtures refusals & disposals.
- Overseas Security and Occupational health.
- Training, constant engagement, and motivation of the team. Assists Goal Alignment implementation and maintain operational reviews.
- Supports and helps the LEAN roll out, ensuring that a continuous improvement culture is developed and sustained.
What Will Make You Successful?
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in supervisory level in warehouse management.
- Relevant operational experience in or interfacing with the following areas is beneficial:
- Customer Service
- Demand & Supply Planning
- Sales
- Transportation
- Technical
- Finance: Business Planning, budget control, cost management.
- Experience in the management of projects such as: – Warehouse Design, High Performing Warehouse, WMS Implementation.
- Desirable to have had worked on a leadership position in a LEAN organization, who has adapted LEAN concepts and tools as part of their way of working.
- Desirable to have had experience implementing LEAN concepts and tools.
