Job Summary
- The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- The role bridges engineering, procurement, construction, and stakeholder management to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with internal teams, contractors, regulators (e.g., NNPC, NAPIMS, NIPEX), and clients to resolve technical/commercial issues.
- Procurement Management: Prepare technical scopes, evaluate vendor bids, recommend awards, and supervise procurement processes.
- Risk & Safety Management: Identify risks, enforce HSE policies, and facilitate safety and constructability reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations, pollution control measures, and waste management standards.
- Engineering Oversight: Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities; review technical designs and ensure quality deliverables.
- Project Reporting: Prepare and present status updates, cost/schedule reports, and technical documentation to management and stakeholders.
- Commissioning & Handover: Support testing, commissioning, documentation, and handover of completed projects.
- Project Planning: Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and forecasts in line with specifications, standards, and codes.

Requirements
- Experience in Oil & Gas projects (onshore/offshore) and environmental consultancy
- Project Management Certification (PMP/PRINCE2) is an advantage
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related fields).
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards, waste management practices, and pollution control regulations
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience within the Oil & Gas Industry or related industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 per month (However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience).
