Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a unique and diverse academic program designed for exceptional high school students from all corners of the globe. Every summer, students from more than 150 countries, including every state in the U.S., come together for a two-week session at Yale University’s historic campus. It’s a chance to not only delve into a wide range of academic subjects based on individual interests but also to connect with peers from different backgrounds through engaging program activities.

YYGS is thrilled to announce its residential sessions for June, July, and August 2025, offering a variety of academic tracks to choose from. Students can immerse themselves in sessions such as Innovations in Science & Technology, Literature, Philosophy, & Culture, Politics Law & Economics, and Solving Global Challenges.
To be eligible for YYGS, applicants must meet specific criteria, including being between the ages of 16-18 by the start of Session III, having the ability to engage in an English-language academic curriculum, and being a current high school sophomore or junior. Financial aid is available for students from all countries, ensuring that the program is accessible to a wide range of individuals.

The application process involves submitting various components, including essays, a school transcript, and a recommendation form. Optional components include English fluency test scores and the opportunity to apply for financial aid. It’s important to note that previous participants from 2024 and earlier are not eligible for YYGS 2025, and all applications must be submitted by the specified deadlines for consideration.
