Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to lead our hotel kitchen operations and deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning menus, preparing meals, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and present meals that meet hotel quality standards and guest expectations.
- Develop menus, including daily specials, considering seasonal availability, guest preferences, and cost control.
- qSupervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Ensure proper portion control, minimize food wastage, and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and kitchen supplies, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu offerings.
- Work closely with the hotel management team to plan for special events, banquets, and catering services.
- Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Culinary degree, professional chef certification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of international and local cuisines, food safety, and kitchen operations.
- Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of cost control, portioning, and inventory management.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
