Job Title: Product Dispatch and Logistics Officer

Location:Lagos

Job Summary

The product dispatch & logistics officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the efficient dispatch, transportation, and delivery of products to customers, distributors, stockists, and company outlets.
The ideal candidate must possess strong logistics management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining inventory integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the daily dispatch of products to customers, stockists, distributors, and branches.
Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
Monitor inventory movement and maintain accurate dispatch records.
Ensure all dispatched products correspond with approved invoices, waybills, and delivery notes.
Supervise warehouse loading and unloading activities.
Liaise with warehouse personnel, sales teams, transport providers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Track deliveries and promptly resolve logistics or dispatch-related issues.
Monitor vehicle utilization, delivery schedules, and logistics performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and dispatch reports for management.
Investigate and report product shortages, damages, or delivery discrepancies.
Maintain proper documentation for all logistics transactions.
Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in product dispatch, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within an FMCG company.
Strong knowledge of inventory management and distribution processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems is an added advantage.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery timelines.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of company products while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate the company’s delivery van for product distribution.
Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of products to customers and company locations.
Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proof of delivery where necessary.
Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage during transit.
Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading products when required.
Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good working condition.

Requirements

Minimum of HND in any discipline.
Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery van driver or in a similar driving role.
