General Requirements:
- Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.
- Applicants must have completed their primary six education and obtained First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
- Applicants must not be less than eighteen (18) years as of the date of application.
- Medical fitness is required — applicants must not be physically or mentally challenged.
- Applicants must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
- Applicants must present a Certificate of Local Government Identification.

Requirements:
- B.Eng. or its equivalent in Mechanical, Automobile or any related Engineering courses from any recognised institution.
2. Vehicle Inspection Superintendent (Assistant Works Superintendent — Grade Level 06)

Requirements:
- OND or its equivalent in Mechanical, Automobile or any related Engineering courses from a recognised Polytechnic or other institution.
3. Vehicle Inspection Assistant. (Assistant Craftsman — Grade Level 03)
Requirements:
- FSLC plus a Pass in the Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test Certificate Class III in the appropriate trade.
