Applications are now being accepted for Cohort 4.0 of the Precision Agriculture Incubation Program (PAIP), a global, hands-on programme aimed at giving young people practical skills in precision agriculture, agricultural drones, GIS, remote sensing, digital agriculture and AgriTech entrepreneurship.
The programme welcomes young professionals and agriculture students between the ages of 16 and 35, from Africa as well as outside the continent.

About the Precision Agriculture Incubation Program
The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program is an initiative of Precision Field Academy, an African AgriTech education and skills-development organisation dedicated to preparing young people for careers in digital and precision agriculture.
PAIP blends virtual learning with hands-on sessions covering technologies used in modern farming, such as agricultural drones, geographic information systems, remote sensing, data-driven agriculture and other smart farming tools.

Duration of the Programme

PAIP additionally exposes participants to the commercial aspects of precision agriculture.

Models of Drone-as-a-Service
- Evaluating clients
- Drafting proposals
- Determining prices
- Calculating economic returns
- Developing enterprises
- Presenting agricultural technology solutions

Certification
Those who complete the programme successfully earn the Precision Field Academy PAIP Fellow certification.
The academy refers to the certification as globally accredited and presents the programme as preparation for careers and enterprise opportunities in agricultural technology.
Tuition Funding and Commitment Fee
Precision Field Academy notes that merit scholarships exist, offering partial and full tuition funding for selected participants.
Nevertheless, applicants should be aware that the programme is not free for everyone by default.
According to current application information, selected participants may need to pay a ₦5,000 or US$5 commitment fee, which is tied to participation and certification. Applicants ought to verify the relevant fee and funding status while going through the selection process.
