In March 1925, a compassionate initiative was born with the establishment of Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, initially catering to the healthcare needs of senior civil servants. Over time, this hospital evolved into a General Hospital and eventually earned recognition as a “Specialist Health Institution”. In a heartwarming turn of events in 2018, it was renamed to become a Teaching Hospital affiliated with the state-owned university, coinciding with the creation of a college of medical sciences.
