The 3-day business experience is a unique opportunity that brings together a group of aspiring entrepreneurs and startup founders from various industries across Africa. Each participant is paired with a seasoned business leader who will serve as their mentor throughout the one-year ELISA Business Scholars Program. Together, they will participate in intensive training sessions led by industry experts to enhance their business concepts, fine-tune their strategies, and ultimately generate employment opportunities.

ELISA Scholars will receive guidance on managing finances, crafting investor presentations, and perfecting their elevator pitches. Following the initial training, they will continue to engage with their mentors through monthly virtual meetings over the course of a year to ensure ongoing support in implementing their business plans. The scholars will also have access to the ELISA online platform to stay connected and exchange ideas with their peers.
ELISA is an initiative launched by ICPD, the International Center for Professional Development, a non-profit organization based in the United States. The primary goal of the ELISA Scholars Program is to empower entrepreneurs and leaders focused on Africa to bring their visions to life and contribute to job creation on the continent.
Eligibility
- Open to applicants of any age, sector or gender who are founders of their ventures.
- You must Create a Profile and login to the ELISA Portal to create your Project Page.
- Your business, project or idea should primarily operate in Africa and benefit an African economy.
- You must live in an African country and have the ability to meet with your coach once per month using WhatsApp, Google Meet or Zoom. Alumni of the ELISA Scholars Program cannot reapply.
