The Sterling Bank Scholarship at MIVA Open University, known as the “Beyond Education” program, is a heartfelt initiative created by Sterling Bank Ltd. in collaboration with Miva Open University.
This initiative showcases Sterling’s dedication to supporting the growth of the nation by investing in vital sectors such as Health, Education, Agriculture, Renewable Energy, and Transportation.
With a commitment of approximately ₦2 Billion over a span of 36 months, the program aims to award 600 full-tuition university scholarships to deserving individuals in Nigeria.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the Sterling Bank MIVA Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

- A Nigerian citizen.
- Aged between sixteen (16) and thirty-five (35) years on the date of their nomination.
- Able to satisfy the admission criteria for Miva Open University. Please note that JAMB/UTME scores are not required.
Benefits of Sterling Bank Scholarship at MIVA Open University
- The Sterling Bank Scholarship covers 100% of the university tuition fees for the entire duration of an approved undergraduate degree.
- All scholarships are for degree programs at Miva Open University, an online institution fully licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

To apply for the Sterling Bank Scholarship at MIVA Open University,

- Nominate yourself for the award or get someone to nominate you.
- Winners are selected through a public voting process exclusive to Sterling Bank account holders.
- After the nomination period, verified nominees will be listed on our website under their state of residence.
- At the end of the voting period, the two Nominees with the highest number of verified votes in each state and the FCT will be declared the provisional winners for that tranche.
- Provisional winners will be contacted by the bank and must formally accept the award within ten (10) business days.
- After acceptance and final verification, winners must successfully enrol at Miva Open University within two admission cycles to avoid forfeiture of the scholarship.
