We are delighted to inform individuals who are enthusiastic and meet the necessary requirements to join Ministry of Mines and Steel Development

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in Nigeria was founded in 1985 with the goal of promoting the growth of the nation’s valuable mineral resources.

The Ministry is dedicated to overseeing and promoting the steel and other metal industries through various policies and programs.

In an effort to support and empower individuals working in the metals sector, the Ministry is launching a month-long training program. This program is specifically designed to provide technical skills and assistance to both current and aspiring artisans within the industry. The goal is to equip selected young individuals with advanced knowledge in three specialized areas, as outlined in the application form.

Qualified Nigerians are encouraged to apply for this training program in their area of interest, as listed below:

  1. Welding and Fabrication
  2. Industrial Foundry and Metallurgy.
  3. Instrumentation & control System and Mechanical Maintenance.

Welding and Fabrication:

  • Must be a Nigerian and provide valid means of identification
  • Must be between 18 and 40 years old
  • May/may not have basic knowledge of welding.
  • Must have at least a secondary school O’ Level certificate
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English Language
  • Must submit a statement of purpose giving reasons why he/she should be selected for the programme

Industrial Foundry and Metallurgy.

  • Must be a Nigerian and provide valid means of identification
  • Must be between 18 and 40 years old.
  • May/may not have basic knowledge of foundry techniques.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English Language
  • Must submit a statement of purpose giving reasons why he/she should be selected for the programme

Instrumentation & control System and Mechanical Maintenance

  • Should be a graduate of Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be a Nigerian an d provide valid means of identification
  • Must be between 18 and 40 years.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English Language
  • Must submit a statement of purpose giving reasons why he/she should be selected for the programme
