The Federal Ministry of Works has recently extended its Call for Applications to engage unemployed Graduate Engineers and Skilled Artisans in all Local Government Areas in Nigeria. This initiative, part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to enhance Nigeria’s technical workforce, empower young individuals, and support the completion of crucial national infrastructure projects.
Selected participants will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to real construction projects at various Federal Ministry of Works sites nationwide. This program is essential for developing a skilled workforce that can efficiently and sustainably deliver infrastructure projects in Nigeria.
By providing practical training and project experience, this initiative not only addresses youth unemployment but also creates a pool of trained engineers and artisans with modern construction skills. The goal is to enhance employability, facilitate technology transfer, and strengthen the country’s capacity for infrastructure development.
Ultimately, this program seeks to equip young professionals with the necessary experience, build a sustainable talent pool for Nigeria’s infrastructure projects, reduce youth unemployment through short-term engagement, and improve project delivery by integrating trained local support personnel into ongoing federal works.
