Under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, we are pleased to confirm the approval of bursary payments for the 2024/2025 academic year and scholarship awards for the 2023/2024 academic year for Kwara State indigenes enrolled in government-owned tertiary institutions.

About the Kwara State Government Scholarship and Bursary 2025
Administered by the Kwara State Scholarship Board, this program is specifically tailored to assist eligible students from our state who are enrolled in accredited universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.
Our primary goal is to foster academic excellence and combat the high dropout rates resulting from financial difficulties. The bursary component is inclusive, aiming to support a diverse range of students, while the scholarship is intended for those who demonstrate exceptional promise in their studies.
Requirements and Eligibility
To qualify for the Scholarships Kwara State Government Scholarship and Bursary 2025, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Only final year students who are indigenes of Kwara State are eligible.
- Be an indigene of Kwara State with valid proof of origin (Local Government Identification Certificate).
- Be a registered full-time student in an accredited Nigerian higher institution (university, polytechnic, or college of education).
- Present a valid student ID card and admission letter.
Benefits of the Scholarship and Bursary
The benefits of the Scholarships Kwara State Government Scholarship and Bursary 2025 include:
- Beneficiaries of the Kwara State Government Scholarship will be awarded a cash grant of ₦100,000
- The beneficiaries of the Kwara State Government Bursary will be awarded a cash grant of ₦10,000

Login to Your Account: After validation, you will be required to login to your application portal to continue with the application process.
Fill the Form: Fill the form and upload all the required documents.
Step-by-Step Guideline:
Step: 1Login: Login using your KWASRRA SSID and your NIN. You will not be able to log in if you have not registered with KWASRRA.
Step: 2Fill Bio-Data: Enter your personal details, including your full name, date of birth, gender, and contact information. Ensure all details are accurate before saving.
Step: 3Fill Academic Details: Provide the name of your tertiary institution, course of study, year of admission, and your current level.
Step: 4Upload Documents: Upload all required documents, including your passport photograph, local government citizenship certificate, evidence of NAKLAS/NAKSS due payment and your institutional valid I.D card. Ensure the files meet the specified format (e.g., PDF, JPEG, PNG).
Step: 5Application Review: Carefully review all the information you have provided to ensure it is complete and accurate. Once satisfied, click Submit Application to finalize the process.
Submit Your Application: After filling the form, verify all your details carefully from the summary page, submit your application and download the copy of your form.
How to Apply |Registration Procedure
Step: 1Kindly log on to https://scholarship.kwarastate.gov.ng/
Step: 2Use your KWASRRA SSID with your NIN to fill the application form online (SSID is the 12-characters unique identification number on your Resident Card).
Step: 3Scan and upload the following documents online (mandatory).
- Passport photograph.
- Local Government Citizenship Certificate.
- Your duely stamped final year course registration form.
- Your Institutional Valid I.D Card.
- Evidence of NAKLAS/NAKSS due payment.
Step: 4Number & NAKLAS/NAKSS Receipt: Applicants must possess a valid Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA) certificate and also upload your evidence of NAKLAS/NAKSS due payment.
Step: 5NIN Slip: Applicants must possess an appropriate Nigerian Identification Number Slip.
