How to Apply for 2025 WomenPower2030 Seed-Grant For Nigeria and Seirra Leone

Women Environmental Programme (WEP) is inviting applications from women-led and women’s rights organizations to participate in the WomenPower2030 initiative, which aims to empower women and marginalized individuals within the realm of sustainable development. The project seeks to enhance the involvement and impact of women’s and feminist Civil Society Organizations in shaping gender-inclusive climate action and sustainable development policies at local, regional, and global levels.

WomenPower2030:Feminist Accelerate Action for Sustainable Development is a collaborative effort between the European Union and a consortium of 5 feminist organizations, spearheaded by Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF). The consortium includes Women Environmental Programme, African Women’s Development and Communication Network – FEMNET, Asia Pacific Forum for Women, Law and Development (APWLD), and Fundacion Para Estudio E Investigacion de la Mujer (FEIM).

The focus areas for the seed grants provided by WomenPower2030 project include policy engagement, educational initiatives, movement building, showcasing sustainable solutions, gender-specific training, monitoring of SDG/climate policies, media campaigns, and more. Priority will be given to initiatives that advocate for women’s rights, promote sustainable solutions, and ensure gender-responsive budgets.

Eligible organizations must be women-led, have a majority female management team, be affiliated with a women’s movement or network, have a clean legal record, demonstrate project delivery capacity, and be located in Sierra Leone or Nigeria. Projects should last between 3 to 6 months, with a maximum budget of 5,000 EUR per initiative.
