• • Job Title: Bursar

    Job Summary

    • The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
    • Specifically, the Candidate should be proficient in ICT and must not be more than 59 years at the time of application.

    Qualifications

    • A good honors degree in Accountancy, Business Administration. Economics or Financial Management.
    • A professionally recognized Accounting qualification from any of the following Accounting Bodies.
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) o Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) o Association of Corporate and Certified Accountants o Institute of Chartered Accountants of United Kingdom, Scotland.
    • American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
    • Possession of a Higher degree in any of the relevant disciplines and Fellowship of any of the recognized Accounting bodies would be an advantage.

    Experience:

    • The Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience in the University System or other similar establishments out of which five (5) must be as a Deputy Bursar.

    The Person:

    • The person must be of high integrity with good leadership qualities, enjoy robust physical & mental health, proficient in ICT and accounting.

    Salary / Condition of Service

    • The appointment is for a period of five (5) years effective from the date of assumption of duty.
    • The salary is as applicable to similar positions in the Federal Universities of Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.

Job Title: Director of Physical Planning and Development

Job Description

• The Director of Physical Planning and Development is the Chief Physical Planning Officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for all aspects of Physical Planning and Infrastructural Development of the University as well as advising the University on the formulation, execution and review of policies affecting the Physical Planning and Development Section.

The Person

• The candidates for the position of Director of Physical Planning and Development must exhibit considerable degree of competence, responsiveness and demonstrable integrity for the running of the Department of Procurement and Directorate of Physical and Development Unit respectively of a University.
• Prospective candidates must be proficient in ICT particularly in Computer Aided Designs and Controls.
• The candidate must not be more than fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of appointment and must be in good health to be able to endure the rigours of the duty of Director of Physical Planning and Development of a fast growing specialized University of Technology.

Qualifications

Job Description

• The Director of Health Services is the Chief Health Officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day running and administration of the University’s Health Services and facilities, recommendation of all health policies in the University, and taking charge of Health Services Department in accordance with the University statutes.

The Person

• The candidates for the post must exhibit considerable degree of competence, expertise and demonstrable integrity for the running of a Department of Health Services of a University.
• Prospective candidates must be duly licensed and practicing medical doctors and must be active members of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
• The Candidate must not be more than fifty nine (59) years of age at the time of appointment and must be in good health to be able to endure the rigours of the duties as a Director of Health Services.

Qualifications

• The Candidates must have a good honours Degree (MBBS) from a recognized University and at least fifteen (15) years of relevant service experience.
• Candidates should be Officers of not below the rank of Deputy Director of Health Services in a University or a similar Institution.
• In addition, candidates must be a Fellow of West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) or other relevant bodies. Possession of a higher degree in health related disciplines will be advantage.

The Position

• The Director of Procurement is the Head of the Procurement Unit, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor who is the Chief Accounting Officer for the handling of all Procurement matters in the University and the day-to-day activities of the Procurement Unit.

Qualifications

• The Candidate must have a good honours Degree or its equivalent either in Purchasing and Supply Management, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Banking and Finance, Insurance or Law, from a recognized University or similar higher institution and at least fifteen (15) years of relevant post-qualification service experience at University / equivalent level.
• Candidates should be Officers of not below the rank of Deputy Director of Procurement in a University or a similar Institution.
• Possession of a higher Degree will be an added advantage, while membership or licenses of relevant professional body (ies) of the candidate’s discipline is mandatory.

The Person:

Conditions of Service for Director of Procurement

• The appointment is for a period of five (5) years and is pensionable.
