Over 1,300 Youths in the Federal Capital Territory Empowered by Nigerian Bottling Company: In a bid to empower the youth across the country, the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd. recently concluded another successful edition of the #YouthEmpowered program in the Federal Capital Territory.

The event held at the picturesque Sentosa Parks and Garden, Apo Legislative Quarters was attended by over 1,300 youths. Through dynamic workshops, engaging discussions and hands-on activities, participants were equipped with key skills and knowledge essential to navigating today’s competitive job market.

With a strategic focus on seizing opportunities in the modern business environment, the program delves into career planning and business development techniques. This holistic approach reflects NBC’s commitment to promoting economic empowerment among the Nigerian youth.

Olukemi Ogunsakin, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at NBC, highlighted the program’s alignment with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company’s Mission 2025 sustainability commitment to educate millions of young people by 2025.

Abiodun Essiet, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on Community Engagement, commended the overwhelming response and enthusiasm of the participants and affirmed the importance of investing in youth development initiatives.

The event featured interactive sessions providing in-depth insight into emerging industry trends and best practices. Participants gained knowledge about the basics of artificial intelligence and its applications in professional development, which are essential for navigating the digital age.

Networking and mentoring were highlighted as essential pillars of long-term success. Through one-on-one mentoring sessions and networking opportunities with industry experts, attendees made meaningful connections and gained valuable insight into various career paths.

YouthEmpowered remains an integral part of NBC’s mission to equip 16-35 year olds with the skills necessary to secure employment and opportunities for self-sufficiency. Since its inception in Nigeria in 2017, this initiative has positively impacted over 48,000 youth across 10 cities and 10 campuses.
