The Interdisciplinary Network for Technology and Entrepreneurship Research in Africa (INTERA) is excited to announce that fellowship applications for the upcoming academic year of 2025/2026 are now open. This unique opportunity is tailored for both up-and-coming researchers (including students at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels) and seasoned researchers (at the postdoctoral stage and beyond) who are passionate about engaging in collaborative, community-focused academic research.

- Rising researchers (from undergraduate to doctoral levels)

- Business management strategies
Research must incorporate primary data collection methods, utilizing:
- Qualitative approaches (like interviews, fieldwork, and ethnographies)
- Quantitative methods (such as experiments and large-scale surveys)
Preference is given to:
- Researchers associated with or studying at African universities or institutions
- Scholars conducting research within African societies and communities
- Fellowship Responsibilities and Expectations
- Fellowship duration: One year (with potential for extension upon evaluation)
- No financial support is currently provided with this fellowship
- Each emerging researcher will be matched with a dedicated academic mentor to guide their intellectual development and career advancement

Fellows are expected to:
- Engage in and actively contribute to a minimum of 10 out of 12 virtual workshops held throughout the year
- Provide constructive feedback to fellow researchers during workshops
- Assist with INTERA’s outreach and engagement efforts, as feasible
- Workshops are conducted every other month, focusing on paper refinement, research feedback, and professional growth in a supportive academic environment.
