Apply for Africa Impact Fundraising Grant (AIFG)

The Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program, launched by the New Africa Fund, is a new initiative designed to empower African NGOs, community-based organizations, and social enterprises in securing funding and enhancing their fundraising skills.

Selected organizations will kick off their journey with an online training program focused on small donor campaigns. Following this, they will engage in a 30-day fundraising challenge, with the opportunity to receive up to $5,000 USD in matching funds.

Outstanding organizations will be invited to attend a week-long intensive workshop at our training center in Kigali, Rwanda. This workshop will cover essential aspects of fundraising, such as financial management, marketing, communications, grant writing, donor research, cultivation and retention, individual donor campaigns, and local fundraising strategies.

Only organizations registered in one of the 55 African Union member states are eligible to apply for the program.

Benefits of the AIF Grant program include foundational training on individual donor campaigns for up to 70 organizations, participation in a 30-day fundraising challenge with the chance to receive up to $5,000 USD in matching funds, and 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship from the New Africa Fund for all participating organizations, with the possibility of extension.

Additionally, up to 10 top-performing organizations will have the opportunity to attend a week-long intensive workshop in Kigali to further enhance their fundraising skills. As the program progresses, further performance-based fundraising opportunities will be provided.

Before applying, ensure you have the necessary documents ready for upload as PDFs, including your organization’s registration document, an organizational chart, and either the most recent external audit or five months of financial statements for all accounts if an audit is unavailable.

The New Africa Fund is committed to supporting Africa-based NGOs, CBOs, and social enterprises in various sectors. Please note that funding is not available for individuals or organizations registered outside of Africa, and unsolicited applications are not accepted.
